The days are getting chillier, the nights are drawing in earlier and with festive season officially upon us, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
As we begin our preparations for the big day, there are lots of things to do and lots of jolly options to consider. Some things are changeable – do you have the family coming to you this year, or are you gathering the troops to take them elsewhere? Are your lights getting turned on this weekend or next?
But everyone has festive traditions that we just don’t mess with. From Dad’s customary Christmas jumper to the Satsuma in the stocking, every family has them and we want to know yours. So we carried out a nationwide survey to find the most popular answers to some of our most pressing questions so that we can, once and for all, present to you: Harveys Yule Rules.
Cornered with the conundrum of establishing the proper centrepiece to serve with Christmas dinner, a whopping 64.5% of the Great British public opted for turkey as their dish of choice. With chicken running second, and pork pulling in with a measly 2.6%, it seems that we are a nation of poultry lovers.
Us? Well, we’ll go for one of each.
Do you agree with the stats? What will your family feast on when the big day rolls around? Join the #HarveysYuleRules debate on Facebook and Twitter for a chance to win one of our festive hampers – we’d love to know what you think!
