7.1 All delivery times quoted at the time of order are estimated and so cannot be guaranteed. Whilst we will make every effort to deliver within the estimated delivery time, occasionally deliveries may be affected by factors beyond our control. We will deliver to the delivery address stated in the Order and confirmed by us in the Order Confirmation. Should you wish to change the delivery address from the address given in the Order and confirmed by us in the Order Confirmation then you must have notified us and have obtained our agreement in writing to any change in delivery address prior to any delivery taking place.

7.2 We will contact you where applicable to arrange delivery and to ensure that full payment has been made prior to your Order being delivered. We will offer you an initial delivery slot but if this is not acceptable we will offer you a maximum of two reasonable alternatives. We reserve the right to charge a storage charge in the event you do not reasonably accept delivery. If you are not going to accept delivery yourself, you must notify us in advance of the nominated adult who will take delivery.

7.3 Goods will be delivered to Mainland Britain and Northern Ireland only.

7.4 A delivery charge will apply on all orders. The amount is variable depending on the Order and is made clear at the point of Order, and will be contained on our Order Confirmation. Unfortunately we are not able to arrange for collection of Goods from our distribution centres on sales processed through our site.

7.5 Where you have ordered multiple Goods from us we may need to make more than one delivery to you. This is particularly the case where Goods are delivered directly from the supplier on specialist transport. Where this is necessary we will not charge you extra delivery costs for this. If you ask us to deliver the Order in instalments, we may charge you extra delivery costs.

7.6 Delivery of the Order shall be completed when we deliver the Goods to you.

7.7 We do not hold or store Goods, therefore if you fail to accept the reasonable delivery dates offered to you, then, except where this failure is caused by our failure to comply with these terms and conditions or by an event beyond our control;

(a) We will store the Goods until delivery takes place and may charge you a reasonable sum currently £25 per week to cover expenses

Any such charges must be cleared before delivery will take place.

7.8 Clause 7.7 will not apply where the Goods are available before the delivery date detailed in the Order Confirmation or as agreed with you where you have stipulated a “not before date” on your Order, and which has been confirmed on the Order Confirmation.

7.9 It is essential that you notify us of any possible restrictions to access into your home when placing your Order so that we can perform a risk assessment. In particular you should consider vehicle access, lifts, staircases and room access. Should windows or doors need to be removed to allow access, it is your responsibility to arrange this at your own cost and at your own risk.

7.10 We recommend that you do not dispose of your existing furniture until one day prior to your confirmed delivery date.

7.11 We deliver only to the first floor of any house/apartment block, except when arranged separately within the Order and confirmed in the Order Confirmation. Any such arrangement may incur an additional charge that we shall advise to you.

7.12 You must ensure that you or a nominated adult with (if we so request in order to prevent fraudulent activity) appropriate ID (driving licence or passport) are available on the day and the point of delivery to sign for the Goods.

7.13 You must also ensure that on the day of delivery access to your preferred location of the Goods is clear and free of any obstruction. If you or a nominated adult are not available or the access is not clear and free of any obstruction, then we will not deliver your Goods. This will result in a re-delivery of your Goods and a further delivery charge will be levied.

            7.14 Goods intended to be assembled by you will not be unpacked at the point of delivery.

7.15 We do not accept any responsibility for damage to your property during delivery other than damage due to our negligence when our liability is limited to the repair of that damage with no element of betterment.

8. Title and risk

8.1 The Goods will be your responsibility from the time of delivery.

8.2 Ownership of the Goods will only pass to you when we receive payment in full of all sums due for the Goods, including delivery charges.

 

How to Measure Up

Below are some tips to help you with choosing furniture that fits perfectly in the space that you have available. If you find yourself confused or looking for some assistance, our sales advisors are always happy to help on the phone - 0844 847 2626.

Top 5 tips to getting the right furniture for you!

· Decide exactly where you would like to place your furniture.

· Measure the area where you want to place your furniture.

· Sketch a rough plan including dimensions.

· Note the width, height, and depth of the model you want to order, do allow a few inches for tolerance.

· You should now be able to see whether or not the furniture will fit within your living space.

Getting Through Your Access Points

· Ensure all widths and diagonal depths of your new furniture measures less than the dimensions of your homes entry points e.g. doors, side gates, hallways and stairways etc.

· If your existing furniture came in easily, compare the measurements with the model you want to replace it with.

· The diagonal height should be less than the entryway you are planning to use.

· Measure width and height of all doorways, hallways, and stairways, remembering to take into account unmovable objects such as banisters and turns.

· Remember obstacles such as radiators, and lights on walls and ceilings.

Homes with limited access points

Not all of Harveys furniture will arrive in its fully completed format, so if your home has limited access, then there will be some ranges that can be built in situ. Some sofas come in 2 or even 3 parts and the same for dining table and chair sets. This will be noted in the bullet point list next to the product image.

Note – This serves only as a guide and doesn’t guarantee furniture will fit. Please consider all access points from our delivery truck to the room of your choice. Also please do let us know if you foresee any problems with our delivery vehicles getting down your street.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice sofas but beware before buying due to sales prices. The sofas are nice and comfortable my problem is with the pricing. I walked into a harveys during the sales on the off chance liked the sofa was told by the sales man that this would be a one off price you wont get this sofa this cheap again if i bought before sales ended. I could'nt buy there and then so a day later i bought online in the sale for the same price on the understanding this would be a great price. To my shock 2 weeks after i bought these sofas they are all over there new sales adverts for £100 a sofa cheaper. They should'nt be allowed to do this its bas sales practice by there salesmen. 08 May 2013

They were delivered when arranged and I got a text the day before giving me a time slot, very pleased with the service provided. Our last sofas also came from Harvey's so wanted to stay with them. Sofas were delivered and 'put together' however they are very loose?? There are gaps between the seats and when you move the settee only one section moves. There needs to be some way of tightening the seats together, and because of this the look of the settee is not that good as the top of the backs are not level. It's a shame because they are really comfy. 08 April 2013

Overall very pleased with both settees-but need to contact the customer services as the manual recliner on the two seater settee does not go back in after use, which is a bit disappointing. I could not be present when the settee was delivered but wonder why staff didn't actually test the recliners before they left. 18 March 2013

Yes each seat is seperate and is put together once in the room. I was worried when ordered them as i have very awkward hallway to manover through, but there was no need to worry as the delivery men bought it in each seperate seat and put together in double quick time. Hope this helps.

I currently have leather sofas and Im often having to wipe them down following a juice spill or something... how would the faux suede stand up to a liquid spill?

I dont want to buy a sofa that will be ruined by a spill.

If you were to spill juice on the bel air sofa it will be harder to get it out than on a leather sofa.

However we do have a care kit that you can purchase for when something is spilt on the sofa i have added this below.

Answer: 
Within the first day of purchase our 2 year old sprayed milk over the front of the sofa. A paper towel soaked up the milk, and there is no stain at all.

The only diffrence is that the express option is a quicker delivery of approx 3 weeks and the other option is approx 10 weeks as these sofas are made to order.
