Furniture buying in the capital is on the rise, new figures have revealed.
Bedroom furniture owners living in London who are looking to invest in a bed or chest of drawers may be interested to learn that new figures have revealed sales are up.
Statistics from the British Retail Consortium and KPMG for November show that furniture purchases - which could include bedroom tables, sofas and lounge sets - continued to do well despite the current economic climate.
According to the organisations, interest in furniture was boosted by a range of discounts available throughout the month.
Commenting on the data, Stephen Robertson noted that big-ticket items - such as a wardrobe or dining table and chairs set - are "doing well" in London.
"These are great figures - the best sales growth for three years," he remarked. "These figures show London retailers have had a very encouraging start to Christmas."
Head of retail at KPMG Helen Dickinson recently claimed that UK sales of furniture "had another good month" in November as more people look to get items in before the end of the year.
