Living room 'has several potential layouts'

New lounge room furniture may make for comfortable flatshare

Geele Soroka was quoted in the National Post as saying that a living room usually has up to three different layouts, despite the fact that homeowners often leave furniture in the same place forever.

She stated: "Instead, start with your biggest piece and see how many homes you can find for it. Everything else will just fall in around it."

LeAnne Bunnell of Calgary's Elle Design recommended removing dark, heavy accessories from the living room and making use of reflective objects to add light and movement.

Making use of windows and mirrors in this way will significantly improve a room, she suggested.

Suzanne Kasler was recently cited by the Associated Press as advising readers to redistribute ornaments in the run up to summer, paying particular attention to the books on a coffee table.ADNFCR-2589-ID-19656754-ADNFCR
