How to find the perfect sofa

Sofa purchases should be considered

Homeowners have been advised that shopping for a new sofa is not a task that should be undertaken lightly.

Anyone considering buying a new sofa for their living room area might like to do their research before committing to a purchase.

According to Alexia Elejalde-Ruiz of the Chicago Tribune, buying such a seat "is not a task to take on lightly" and those about to embark on this shopping excursion should note that prices can "vary wildly" depending on the manufacturer and store.

"You want comfort, style, durability, fabric that will withstand a spill and colour that'll hide pet hair," she further advised.

Ms Elejalde-Ruiz went on to state that slightly pricier articles can be an investment, referring to the director of one luxury furniture producer who said that materials and craftsmanship can see such chairs lasting for several generations.

Art deco was recently suggested as an on-trend theme for lounge room furniture areas by interiors expert Helen Green in a blog post for Terrys Fabrics.

She observed that distinctive designs can be achieved through strategic placing of chrome, stainless steel, mirrors and glass.ADNFCR-2589-ID-19672341-ADNFCR
