High-quality bed may help bodies recover from aches and pains

A beautiful bedroom may be highly desirable

Sleep is a crucial health factor, so bedroom furniture may be more important than many realise.

The introduction of a high-quality bed oozing comfort may be one way for people to help their body recover from the stresses and strains of a typical day.

Jessica Alexander of the Sleep Council says there is plenty of evidence to suggest a lack of sleep – or even enough in quantity but invariably of a poor standard – can have an impact on both mental and physical health.

"Sleep enables our bodies physically to rest and repair themselves, but even more important is what happens in our brains while we sleep in terms of processing information," she explains.

It is very much the driving force behind the "way we tick", Ms Alexander notes, meaning it should be a priority for all humans.

One good way to increase the quality of sleep may be to splash out on bedroom furniture of more comfort than current items.

Sleep, an industry journal, recently asserted one factor behind the standard of rest is social activity during the day.ADNFCR-2589-ID-800218419-ADNFCR
