Could a display cabinet be the right place to house a computer?

Those who are looking for ways to conceal electronic belongings when they are not in use may be glad to hear recommendations from one writer, who suggested using display cabinets for this purpose.

Mary Beth Breckenridge explained in a NewsOK article that these examples of lounge room furniture can be adapted to accommodate a range of household goods, including computers and media appliances.

She said: "[A cabinet is] the perfect place to hide a computer or your bill-paying supplies when they're not needed. Often the cabinets have built-in power strips, making it easy to plug in your electronics."

Other ideas in her article included storing wine bottles or fitting lights into the furniture so as to create a focus on the objects inside.

It was recently suggested by Celia Colista in a Sun Herald article that homeowners could store precious things in display cabinets, such as candlesticks and decorative vases.ADNFCR-2589-ID-19704715-ADNFCR
