Dining room furniture may help children enjoy meals

Trendy homeowners may be on lookout for dining room furniture

There is plenty that can be done to stamp out fussy eating at a young age, says an expert.

Providing the right type of dining room furniture could be one of the key factors in allowing children to enjoy their experience at meal times.

Jenny Rosborough, a child health expert for Mind, Exercise, Nutrition... Do It!, says involving young ones in the process of making and eating food can help them to feel comfortable.

It is also likely to encourage children to try new foods that may be better for their health.

"Before the meal, involve them by asking them to help prepare the food and set the table. Create a happy environment with limited distractions," the expert states.

Ms Rosborough adds fussy eating is a common problem in UK homes, but it is one that can be solved – perhaps with the use of a comfortable dining table.

Recent research by Philips AVENT showed millions of British parents are lying to their offspring at meal times in an attempt to get them eating the right foods.ADNFCR-2589-ID-800053869-ADNFCR
