Those looking to update their dining room furniture on a budget should first evaluate how much they have to spend, it has been suggested.
Interior design expert Claudia Dabdoub stated that making calculations on how much money can be used for a new dining table and chairs purchase will enable dining room furniture buyers to make the best choices, Freedom Communications reports.
Once this has been estimated, it is important to judge what it is about the dining room furniture that needs to be different, Ms Dabdoub noted.
"It could be a number of things, but by analysing the room you will develop a clear idea of what needs to be changed or improved," she explained.
Dining room furniture purchases should be made after comparing prices in a variety of outlets, the designer added, as "even the smallest investment" can help improve the owner's quality of life.
Stephen Robertson, director-general of the British Retail Consortium, recently commented that consumers are attracted to furniture bargains during the recession.
