Designer's philosophy could affect dining room furniture decisions

Dining room table 'can be centre of shared office and eating space'

Making furniture from a single tree is a recent stunt by John Makepeace.

One designer could act as an inspiration to homeowners the next time they buy a new piece of dining room furniture.

John Makepeace is documented by the Independent, which explains the craftsman has always had a special uniqueness to his work.

"Driven, ambitious, with an endlessly enquiring mind and a desire to constantly test boundaries, John Makepeace is no ordinary furniture designer/craftsman," the publication notes.

He has hosted a number of solo exhibitions, each of which may have featured his latest dining room furniture.

Indeed, the expert's most recent project saw him produce items of top-quality furniture from a single tree.

Mr Makepeace is influenced by a variety of cultures having travelled extensively in his younger years, with his philosophy to stand out one that some people may wish to bring into their own homes.

Helen Green, writing for terrysfabrics.co.uk, recently suggested one way to be a bit different is to move furniture out of the room it is traditionally kept in and into another.ADNFCR-2589-ID-800050157-ADNFCR
