Bedroom furniture buyers have a number of options open to them when considering a chest of drawers purchase, it has been claimed.
People looking to purchase a new chest of drawers as a piece of bedroom furniture can be flexible as to what wood finish they choose, it has been suggested.
Staff writer for the Washington Post Terri Sapienza noted that buying bedroom furniture in a different material or colour can often add a bit of depth to sleeping areas.
She stated: "Having different types of wood finishes in the same room is actually nice because it keeps the space from looking too 'matchy'."
Responding to a reader who requested information on where to place her five-foot tall chest of drawers, Ms Sapienza advised her to "see how it looks" in the bedroom before trying it as lounge room furniture.
Bedroom furniture owners were also told that a lower chest of drawers may fit better in living areas.
Mary Carol Garrity, writing for the Seattle Times, recently recommended buying functional bedroom furniture to brighten up a "sad and shabby" space.
