Bedroom furniture 'should maximise space'

Bedroom furniture is still important in small spaces

A new bed frame is just one way in which homeowners can maximise space using bedroom furniture, it has been claimed.

Bedroom furniture needs to make the best use of the space available, it has been suggested.

Writing for Creators Syndicate, Christine Brun noted that a bed in particular can be one piece of bedroom furniture that, if utilised correctly, can provide much-needed room in cramped spaces.

She remarked: "One of my favourites is to capture the space under a bed. This might be accomplished with a bed frame that includes storage drawers that slide under the box spring."

These can be used to hold old bank statements, cancelled cheques, photographs and magazines under the bed, Ms Brun explained.

Buying risers for a bed can also lift it off the ground by up to eight or nine inches, she added, so that storage boxes may be placed underneath.

According to Mi-Ling Stone Poole - contributing to NewsOK - making decisions to buy new bedroom furniture, such as a bed, should be considered carefully during the current economic climate.ADNFCR-2589-ID-19332921-ADNFCR
