Add colour to bedroom furniture for fresh autumn taste

There are simple steps to follow in order to give a bedroom a seasonal boost.

People have been advised to add colour, perhaps to their bedroom furniture, in order to give sleeping quarters a lift this season.

Ahead of the autumn, Amy Preiser, writing a piece for Shelter Pop, recommends brighter shades in a bid to liven up the bedroom as summer sun turns to fall.

"I have two sets of bedroom items - duvet, curtains, lampshades, artwork, rugs, pillows, accessories. For the fall, they are deep reds and oranges, while spring and summer bring blues and whites," she explains.

However, some people may find it is easier to invest in items such as a wardrobe or chest of drawers in a radiant tone for a major impact.

Another tip offered by the author is to add a drop of spicy oil or vanilla lotion to wooden bedroom furniture in order to create a pleasant aroma.

Terry's Fabrics blogger Helen Green this week noted the design of a bedroom is a time when people can express themselves and let their imaginations run wild.ADNFCR-2589-ID-800057393-ADNFCR
