A leather sofa 'can complement white rooms'

Leather sofa stain advice given

Adding a leather sofa or leather chairs to a white room is one way areas can be given a contemporary appearance, it has been claimed.

Buying a leather sofa or leather chairs can complement a house with a white background, it has been suggested.

Matthew and Sarah Johnson, along with their 14-year-old daughter Lindsey, made all interior decorating decisions as a family, including furniture, the Baltimore Sun reports.

According to Mr Johnson, white window blinds and walls allow the textures of a leather sofa or leather chairs "to pop", creating a "bright and contemporary" appearance throughout the property.

"It's about texture and contrast - wood, metal and stone softened with textiles, plants and accessories," he said.

This has been realised in the Johnson's property, the news source stated, by having lounge room furniture that harmonises with a stone-wall fireplace and live greenery.

Leather sofa and leather chair owners were recently advised by Reena Norbis, contributing to Network Media, to use saddle soap on this kind of furniture sparingly, as it is too abrasive for regular application.ADNFCR-2589-ID-19348415-ADNFCR
