'Prepare lounge room furniture' for Christmas

Flowers can be brough into any room

People can add a few touches to their lounge room furniture to make it more festive, it has been claimed.

Coffee table owners should make adjustments to their lounge room furniture areas in an effort to make them more Christmassy.

This is the suggestion of Mary Carol Garrity, writing for Scripps Howard News Service, who noted that lounge room furniture can become more festive with a few small changes.

"If you have a coffee table or upholstered ottoman, top it with a silver tray, then dress up the tray with a few prettily wrapped gifts from under the Christmas tree," she remarked.

According to Ms Garrity, seasonal decorations do not have to be isolated to lounge room furniture spaces, as dining room furniture can also be given more festive cheer.

Place a colourful centrepiece on a dining table and chairs set and add china or white dishes to boost its holiday feel, she explained.

Merry Maids cleaning agency last month advised lounge room furniture owners to move their sofa or lounge set in plenty of time to accommodate the tree.ADNFCR-2589-ID-19515517-ADNFCR
