Name of competition:
Harveys Casting Couch Competition
Opening/closing date & time:
Competition opens on Saturday 19th June and closes on 7th November 2010.
Method of entry:
Entrants may enter the competition by texting their mobile phone recording through to 07774 681 593, e-mailing it to CastingCouch@Harveys-Furnishing.co.uk or by uploading their film via the relevant section on www.HarveysFurniture.co.uk/CoronationStreet/CastingCouch/. All entries must contain minimum information of name, telephone and e-mail address and date of birth. Films need to be in mp4, wmv, mpg, avi or mov format and be no larger than 10Mb in order to be technologically compatible and valid for entry in to the competition. There is no other available method of valid entry in to the competition. Only eligible entries will be displayed for online voting.
This competition is open to residents of Great Britain aged 13 years and over, parental permission will be required if the entrant is younger than 18 and submissions may not be published until this has been received. The competition is not open to employees of Harveys Furniture, their immediate families, their agents or anyone professionally associated with this promotion.
Competition entry task:
Eligible entrants are required to follow the instructions on the website as well as providing their details in the on-screen form as displayed. Film clips, must follow the scene in order to be eligible and must not deviate in anyway. Where the option to perform an original scene for entry is taken, this must adhere to standards of normal common decency. Any scene or performance not adhering to these standards in the opinion of the judge will not be published for voting. The judges decision is final in all instances and no correspondence will be entered in to.
Where more than one person takes part in the scene filming, the winning entrant will be deemed to be the person whose name is on the entry. Only one name per entry – if 2 names have been registered, the first name will be taken as the entrant. One entry per scene per person.
Cost of entry:
There is no charge of entry over and above the usual network cost for MMS or e-mailing from the user's mobile phone.
Entries made, or received by the Promoter, after the closing time will not be entered into the competition. Entries which are incomplete, incorrect, incomprehensible, or not received by the Promoter are void and will not be displayed for online voting.
Prize:
The film clip with the most votes against the ‘highest rated’ category on www.HarveysFurniture.co.uk will be the winner of the first prize. In the event of a tie break, the clip that had the most votes and came highest in the ‘most viewed’ category will be the first prize winner. Three runners up will receive a limited edition copy of a Coronation Street lost script.
The first prize is an on-set Coronation Street VIP day. This will take place at Granada Studios, Manchester and the winner and their guest will be provided with travel and one night’s hotel accommodation. Details to be provided to winner upon request.
The exact nature and timing of the on-set Coronation Street VIP day prize will be determined at the sole discretion of the producers of the show based on the storyline and filming schedules. The winner must be made available on the date specified.
There is no alternative prize and the prize is non-changeable and non-transferable. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The prize provider and promoter reserves the right to vary any element of the prize. The Promoter is not liable for any costs, liabilities, damages or losses incurred in taking up the prize. The prize excludes all associated costs and expenses other than those listed as being part of the prize. One entry per clip per person.
The winner will be contacted within one week of the competition closing date on the e-mail address provided when entering the competition. In the event of no e-mail address, a telephone number will be used The Promoter will not amend contact information provided once entry to the competition has been made. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact a winner. Failure to respond and/or to provide an address for delivery of a prize may result in forfeiture. If the winner cannot be contacted or is unable to comply with these terms and conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant.
General Terms:
The Promoter may require such information (in addition to the information required to be given on entries or prize claims) as it considers necessary or desirable for the purposes of verifying any entry and a claimant’s compliance with these terms and conditions, and the prize may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification. The names and counties of the winners will be available by contacting CastingCouch@Harveys-Furnishing.co.uk between 7th November 2010 and 1st December 2010. Winners will be required to participate in reasonable publicity arising from the promotion, including PR and photography. By taking part in this promotion all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.
